Today was Charlie Donoghue's first birthday. For those of you who don't know, Charlie is our godson. We are happy to report that little Charlie can throw quite a cowboy celebration. Not only did he have the greatest chocolate cowboys and indians cake (designed by his Auntie Sarah), but both Matt and I walked away with over a dozen taquitos in our bellies.

Our godson Charlie!
This weekend we had the pleasure of becoming Charlie Donoghue's official godparents. We drove up to Birmingham, MI and enjoyed a relaxing weekend with our pals, Dave and Laura. It was so so nice to get away from home and be with good friends. Not to mention enjoy the benefits of a newer home: central A/C and a nice big tub! :) Being 35 weeks pregnant I really miss that at our house. Charlie was adorable and couldn't be a more easy going baby. He truly appears to be a model baby boy - let's hope I can have one of those. He's almost 4 months old and he's sleeping through the night and taking good naps during the day. He's in a perpetual good mood - full of smiles and happy grunts. We are so honored to have been asked to be his godparents and hope we can live up to the challenge of being a mentor and friend to this little guy as he grows up. We love you little buddy.
