My Bio

I'm a mom and a freelance graphic designer.

An army brat who spent most of my childhood in Oklahoma and a graduate of Wheaton College, I designed art and CD packaging for the Nashville music industry before having my second child. In 1999, I had the seriously great honor of receiving a Grammy® Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for my design of the album "Ride with Bob" by country swing band Asleep at the Wheel. For you design types, my work has also been featured in Print, Communication Arts and How magazines. I've also received a handful of local, regional and national Addys. But hey, let's be honest, that was pre-kids. Things have evolved as things often do. ;)

I took about four years off from designing to have some babies and about a year ago started designing slowly but surely. It feels great to click a mouse again and with kids, that's all I'm looking for. I'm pretty happy making lunches and painting rocks - and if I'm lucky, on a good day, when the kids go to bed, I also get to design an album cover.

In the summer of 2010, we moved to Fort Worth, Texas from Chicago. I miss the city, but oh my, I love the warm weather. I'm married to a guy that I met at summer camp when I was 16. I have three wonderful children and a dog that does seven tricks.
